Sundial

Sundials can be used to tell the time from the moment the sun rises and begins to cast shadows. At sunrise and sunset the shadow of an object is longest, shrinking as we approach noon and increasing after the sun has reached its highest point in the sky. Sundial generates images that condense an entire day, with real-time webcam images in black and white projected onto them, like the shadow of a sundial’s gnomon.
